Highly Corrosive Lighting
The reliability of lighting fixtures is very important in application scenarios in corrosive environments such as swimming pools, harbors, ports, docks, industrial sites with highly corrosive gases and chemicals, salt water and high humidity. These extreme environments can lead to significant corrosion potential, so lighting fixtures must have excellent corrosion resistance to ensure their longevity and proper operation in these environments. Moisture and humidity are important factors in inducing corrosion and malfunction, so lighting fixture housings must be able to effectively protect against moisture and humidity intrusion. Protection is usually categorized by IP rating, which depends on the specific requirements of the application scenario. In addition, the choice of housing material is also critical, as some materials are prone to chemical reactions with corrosive gases and salt water, leading to corrosion of the luminaire. Stainless steel and aluminum are commonly used luminaire housing materials, they have good corrosion resistance, but without proper surface treatment, corrosion will eventually occur. Typically, the majority of lighting fixtures used in highly corrosive environments have housings made of aluminum because even if the surface coating of an aluminum housing is damaged, the structural integrity of the housing is not compromised.
MK Lighting specializes in providing reliable, high quality LED lighting solutions for highly corrosive environments. Our fixtures are manufactured from low-copper aluminum alloys for excellent corrosion resistance. All of our products undergo rigorous IP and salt spray testing to ensure stability and durability in harsh environments. Our luminaires are designed to be compact and robust, with high resistance to shock and vibration, ensuring stable operation even in harsh working environments. In addition, our luminaires feature an advanced optical design that enables precise light distribution, avoiding wasted light while ensuring uniform light distribution and providing a comfortable lighting environment.
